No matter who you are and what industry you are working in. One can’t thrive unless they aced the art of networking.
You might be very self-sufficient, but the 101 mantra of building relationships is an art in itself.
Imagine you entered a conference hall full of people with the ultimate goal of meeting these people, starting a conversation and making friends – which gradually helped you build the network.
But the question is, how do you become the networker? Let’s move on to it!
The VCP Process
There are different types of approaches used by people in different environments.
Here we are going to discuss something called the VCP process- Visibility, Credibility, Profitability.
It begins with visibility. Firstly, people need to know who you are if they don’t know you yet.
You start with clarity and then move to credibility, where people know you and know you are good at what you do.
Finally, you move to profitability where people know who you are, what you do, and you are good at it.
They are willing to refer you.
Start Years Ago
There’s a famous Chinese proverb, when is the best time to plant an oak tree? The answer was 25 years ago. Would it be best if you had started a year ago? The answer is – yeah!
But you should not worry about what hasn’t been done. Focus on what you can do now.
If you want to excel in your business, you should remember this – you have to do five things 1000 times, not 1000 things five times. Startup people get this very wrong, and they do 1000 things five times. Therefore, they don’t achieve the success they want.
All you need to do the right things again and again.
The power team or force multiplier all are the same. If you know a caterer, a photographer, or a sponsor, you can refer all these three to a person who is organizing an event. So powerful team teams are significant in the networking context.
Add more groups who can generate a lot more referrals than those who don’t.
