It totally depends on what quality and type of goals you set kind of goal are similar will be your performance.
For example, if you are overweight by 10 Kg and you want to drop some extra weight by setting a goal you vaguely say that I want to lose my weight within a year, this goal of yours does not have any specification it’s nebulous. But if you say I want to lose approximately 3 kg of weight within a certain period of time, that is a precise goal and you will work better to achieve it.
Setting goals is an important step to be taken by every athlete’s successful business people and achievers, and each. And every person present in any field, sets goals to achieve something in life. Setting goals gives you long-term perceiving. A short-term impulse focuses on the attainment of knowledge and helps you organize your time and resources so that you can make the most of your life.
When you achieve your difficult and precise goal you feel pride in yourself and that also causes a rise in your self-confidence and you recognize your own ability and competence in achieving the goal that you have set.
Starting to Set Personal Goals

There is an old saying that working smart is more important than working hard. Similarly set your goals smartly.
S – Specific (or Significant).
M – Measurable (or Meaningful).
A – Attainable (or Action-Oriented).
R – Relevant (or Rewarding).
T – Time-bound (or Trackable).
For example, you say I will complete my project, this not complete info but if you say I’ll complete my marketing project within this week, it is much attainable.
- When you’ve achieved a goal, take the time to enjoy the satisfaction of having done so. Absorb the implications of the goal achievement, and observe the progress that you’ve made towards other goals. If you achieved the goal too easily, make your next goal harder.
- If the goal took a dispiriting length of time to achieve, make the next goal a little easier.
- If you learned something that would lead you to change other goals, do so.
