 Goal setting related to setting goals on a consistent individual who said difficult goals perform better than the individual to set easy goals says researcher Edwin Locke if you want to stay motivated then you should have some goals in your life. It totally depends on what quality and type of goals you set kind of goal are similar will be your performance.

For example, if you are overweight by 10 Kg and you want to drop some extra weight by setting a goal you vaguely say that I want to lose my weight within a year, this goal of yours does not have any specification it’s nebulous. But if you say I want to lose approximately 3 kg of weight within a certain period of time, that is a precise goal and you will work better to achieve it.

Setting goals is an important step to be taken by every athlete’s successful business people and achievers, and each. And every person present in any field, sets goals to achieve something in life. Setting goals gives you long-term perceiving. A short-term impulse focuses on the attainment of knowledge and helps you organize your time and resources so that you can make the most of your life.

When you achieve your difficult and precise goal you feel pride in yourself and that also causes a rise in your self-confidence and you recognize your own ability and competence in achieving the goal that you have set.

Starting to Set Personal Goals

  • STEP 1 is to find your destination. Where you actually want to reach, For what you will be hardworking.
  •  STEP 2 When the destination is recognized, then start finding your route to your destination.
  •  FINAL STEP Finally, once you have your plan, you start working on it to achieve these goals.

This is the reason behind setting goals. After making the road plan, we decide how to ride on it. How much of the distance should we cover in a specific time span?

SMART Goals

There is an old saying that working smart is more important than working hard. Similarly set your goals smartly.

S – Specific (or Significant).

M – Measurable (or Meaningful).

A – Attainable (or Action-Oriented).

R – Relevant (or Rewarding).

T – Time-bound (or Trackable).

For example, you say I will complete my project, this not complete info but if you say I’ll complete my marketing project within this week, it is much attainable.

Achieving Goals

  • When you’ve achieved a goal, take the time to enjoy the satisfaction of having done so. Absorb the implications of the goal achievement, and observe the progress that you’ve made towards other goals. If you achieved the goal too easily, make your next goal harder.
  • If the goal took a dispiriting length of time to achieve, make the next goal a little easier.
  • If you learned something that would lead you to change other goals, do so.

If you notice a deficit in your skills of achieving your goal, despite leaving the path set a new goal, decide how can things can be done to fix this.
